About Community Accounting services
Community Accounting Services was formed in 1974 by the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and helps to carry out the public service goals of both organizations.
Our volunteers come from all parts of the accounting profession including public CPA firms, educators, students, financial executives and retirees. Our screening process includes assessing their experience, areas of interest and levels of expertise. This enables us to match client needs with volunteer skills. Where needed, we draw on the skills of members of the legal profession.
We believe that everyone should have access to the professional services they need to deal with today's complex world. Over our years of operation, we've developed contacts and techniques that we use to improve services to deserving residents of Connecticut and help them solve financial and tax problems.
We are financed by the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, the professional organization for Connecticut's CPA community.
