Education programs
Our volunteers present several programs for people who want to start new small businesses or improve the ones they own.  These are open to the public, normally for a small tuition through our education partners:
   *** Community Economic Development Fund, Inc.
   *** Connecticut public school adult education programs.
   *** Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Business Startup Boot Camp.  Four sessions of two hours each covering business planning, raising funds for a business, getting favorable deals, record keeping, accounting systems, income taxes, property taxes, sales taxes, payroll taxes and much more.  The course uses our business startup text book and offers opportunities to get free individualized help.

Understanding Business Finances and Tax Related Issues.  Four sessions of two and one-half hours covering financial statements, income projections, business accounting systems and business taxes.​

Introduction to QuickBooks.  QuickBooks is the leading computerized accounting system, presently used by millions of small businesses worldwide.  In this course, you'll learn how to set up the system, enter transactions and use QuickBooks to manage your business.
